POSTER

SYNOPSIS
It is the year 2516. The earth has no war, no hate, and no greed. Yet, it also has no love, no joy, no happiness. Emotions have been removed from people's lives.
Four Rulers control and remove the emotions. Evil at heart, they watch over their people like a game of chess. Each year, a New Breed is entered into the populous. They undergo The Changing - a process where their emotions are removed. However, this year, one young woman chooses to stand out, questioning the process. Meiloni sees the changes around her, and begins to search for answers.
We see what life was like twenty years earlier, ata political rally. The Rulers use television and the media to coerce the world's population into voting them to power. They are then enslaved, and the people become emotionless, with the Rulers in full control. Even at this stage, the Rulers cannot agree, and infighting begins.
Returning to 2516, Meiloni goes to her first love, jakue, and tries to make him see what she sees. For a moment, he seems to warm to her pleas. However, it is a trap set by the Rulers, and Meiloni is charged with dissent and ordered to jail.
There, Meiloni waits for the Rulers to decide her fate, but they cannot. Tanisha, a young friend, sneaks in to see Meiloni and promises to help her. The Rulers decide to pur Meiloni on public trial; to show the rest of the world that such emotions only lead to punishment.
Meiloni is taken before a court and asked to explain her actions. She tries but is stopped at every turn. As a death sentence is about to be handed down, Tanisha enters with her own Breedlings and challenges the Rulers. They object, but allow Meiloni one final word. She pleads with all those around her to listen to their hearts. Will Meiloni's desperate pleas be listened to?
